“If you live a life of make-believe, your life isn’t worth anything until you do something that does challenge your reality. And to me, sailing the open ocean is a real challenge because it’s life or death.” – Morgan Freeman
These photos were taken when I was in Singapore earlier this year. Like most of my photos, these were chucked away in my hard drive only to be rediscovered when I decide to do some ‘house cleaning’ on my Mac.
I was mesmerized by these jellyfishes because of the way they moved. They were so graceful and almost had a rhythm to how they moved that I thought to myself, “These are God’s underwater dancers”.
About this shoot: Prior to this trip, I haven’t taken a lot of photos in low-light conditions. So it was quite a challenge for me to get my camera settings right then and there (should’ve done my homework, I know!). Many times my photos came out blurry or the exposure was just off. I became so bothered by the technical aspects of shooting in low-light conditions that it affected my composition. Note to self: Practise, practise and practise until I get it right!
